Our Logistics department is seeking a Transportation Specialist to join our professional team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in managing transportation activities and ensuring smooth coordination between various stakeholders. Reporting directly to the Logistics Manager, this role requires excellent organizational and communication skills to support the forward growth of the company. The candidate should be looking to grow with Atalanta as we continue to expand and develop our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the outbound schedule for a warehouse to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Act as the primary liaison between carriers and the warehouse to facilitate seamless communication and operations.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Service team to promote accurate and timely processing of customer orders.
  • Monitor and optimize transportation schedules to meet delivery timelines and customer expectations.
  • Manage overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D) on customer deliveries, coordinating the appropriate disposition of products.
  • Identify and address potential transportation issues, providing solutions to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipping schedules, carrier communication, and order tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and transportation guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Knowledge of shipping and freight practices, including basic negotiations and order processing.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with internal and external teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering results.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle time-sensitive tasks.
  • Ready to learn, grow and expand their competencies with the role.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and BI Tools)
