Rad Tech Care Guide Summary: The Radiology Technologist Care Guide is responsible for managing patient interactions throughout their visit, including registration, payment collection, room preparation, and providing care assistance. Key duties include preparing patients for procedures, performing x-rays, and ensuring smooth discharge and follow-up processes. Serving as a liaison, the Care Guide supports patients and their guests to enhance clinical quality.
Rad Tech Care Guide REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Completion of a formal Radiography program with an associated certificate or degree.
- Licenses/Certifications: Licensed with IEMA; BLS for Health Care Providers (American Heart Association), to be completed within 2 weeks of hire. ARRT (R) registry eligible; must complete ARRT registry within 6 months of hire.
- Other Requirements/Information: Ability to float between clinics as needed.
- Skills/Knowledge: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient with computers and Microsoft software.
- Skills/Knowledge: Previous experience as a medical office assistant or CNA, experience with electronic health records and phlebotomy, knowledge of urgent care, medical terminology, and Epic. Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette, with a strong understanding of available standards, resources, and data. Demonstrates discretion, good judgment, diplomacy, decision-making skills, and a customer-focused attitude.
- Licenses/Certifications: Current certification as a radiology technician with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Current BLS for Health Care Providers certification from the American Heart Association.
