Overview

St. Joseph Hospital, located in Bethpage NY, is a not-for-profit full service, 203-bed, community hospital that plays a paramount role in its communities. The Emergency Department cares for over 34,000 patients a year. The hospital has achieved disease specific certification for its Stroke Program which is designated by NYS as a Gold Plus Center. Other vital services include the St. Francis Imaging Center at St. Joseph Hospital, a state-of-the-art cardiac CT scanner, MRI, Vascular Laboratory, Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine, Center for Sleep Medicine, Center for Swallowing, Speech & Voice, and comprehensive in-patient medical, critical care and surgical services.

St. Joseph Hospital also takes great pride in its extensive community outreach programs i.e. diabetes education, support groups, pet therapy, health fairs, teddy bear clinics and lecture series are only a few.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
  • Providing patient initial evaluations, re-assessments and treatments.
  • Development of an individualized plan of care and goals.
  • Requires proper charting and documentation.
  • Provide education to patients, families and other staff working with their patients.
  • Must utilize service excellence standards when interacting with patients, families, external customers and other hospital staff.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy or Master's degree or higher in Physical Therapy. Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
  • NYS Physical Therapy License and registration required.
  • Minimum 1 year clinical experience required.
  • Competency in physical therapy; excellent communication skills.


Pay Range

USD $62.00 - USD $69.13 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
