IT Operations Specialist

Position Overview:
As an IT Operations Specialist at Clockwork, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth daily operation of our IT systems. This entry-level position focuses on supporting and maintaining the IT functions at Clockwork, providing technical support to employees, and managing IT assets.
Responsibilities:
- Provide IT Service Support: Be the go-to person for triaging and resolving IT service issues quickly while maintaining a high service quality.
- Support Office Networking: Assist in maintaining office networks and support a hybrid working environment.
- Support IT Service Delivery: Ensure the smooth operation of Clockwork's core software tools, including the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket), Slack, Microsoft Teams, and 1Password.
- Manage the Employee IT Lifecycle: Onboard and offboard employees and contractors (both in-person and virtually), providing necessary access to service delivery tools.
- Manage the IT Assets: Procure, maintain, and retire IT assets using our MDM solution.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvements and deliver solutions that are people-centered and inclusive.
- Security and Privacy Support: Support efforts to ensure compliance with security and privacy policies.
- Basic understanding of IT operations and MacOS.
- Familiarity with the Atlassian suite and other collaboration platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent ability to communicate technical concepts clearly, both in writing and verbally, with a strong commitment to documenting processes, playbooks, and developing IT training materials.
- Familiarity maintaining office networking assets
- Knowledge of IT asset management practices
- Basic understanding of security and privacy policies in IT
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment
- Helped a new employee set up their workstation using Moysle and get them signed in.
- Troubleshoot an office network connectivity issue to ensure minimal downtime.
- Triaged and resolved 20 support tickets
- Update and maintain inventory records for IT equipment.
- Train staff on a new AI tool.
- Assisted in resolving a software issue with the Atlassian suite for a team member
- Conducted a virtual onboarding session for a new remote employee
- Documented a new IT process for the company knowledge base
- Processed the return of IT equipment from a departing employee
