1. Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of JeffersonRevised Job Description
2. Performs all urgent, corrective, routine, preventative, and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical and plumbing equipment and systems.
3. Maintains routine records of all inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs performed on any equipment or system.
Journeyman Mechanical Maintenance (or equivalent). Understanding of electrical safety and lockout/tagout standards.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education and/or training required; 3+ years of related experience required

4. Maintain and repair distribution systems involving vacuum, medical air, medical gas systems and air compressors.
5. Maintain and repair pneumatic equipment located in engine rooms, such as hot water convertor, thermostats, induction units, sump pumps and all piping pertaining to the function of this equipment.
6. Make checks of all mechanical area equipment.
7. Handle maintenance calls from the main office.
8. Assist other trade maintenance technicians with more complicated repairs as needed.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Mechanical Maintenance (or equivalent).
- Understanding of electrical safety and lockout/tagout standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education and/or training required; 3+ years of related experience required
Conditions of Employment
Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson's clinical entities or at the University. If you are not currently vaccinated you will be required to receive the vaccination prior to hire date if you are offered employment, unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption from Jefferson.
