Technology Solutions Specialist

What We're Looking For:
Summary
TheTechnology Solutions Specialist collaborates with internal partners to design,implement, and support technology-forward solutions for Barge clients andinternal teams within Barge. This role will work on small projects with somecomplex features and portions of larger projects.

GENERAL
  • Execute work as directed by project manager, supervisor, or team member.
  • Leads discovery and scoping conversations with clients when necessary.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff across the organization.
  • Provide technical expertise during proposal development and client presentations.
  • Assists in project design and execution based on skill alignment.
  • Analyzes & interprets project data.
  • Analyzes, writes, and may review specifications, documents from a variety of sources to produce various deliverables for projects.
  • Assists in client communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings.
  • Performs other duties as requested.
GIS
  • Use ArcGIS Pro to create maps and maps series for printing, perform spatial analysis, and manage and edit project data.
  • Publish and manage services to ArcGIS Server Manager and Portal for ArcGIS
  • Create web maps and applications with end-user input to meet business needs.
  • Acquire, develop, build, and update relational databases.
  • Utilize Python, Model Builder, Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Flow, and other commonly used scripting tools to automate workflows and streamline routine processes and tasks.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to perform technical activities consistent with project plans within project scope and budget.
  • Assists in creating and updating project documentation.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends in technology related to spatial data.
  • SolutionImplementation
  • Engages with clients to identify project requirements.
  • Design, implement, and validate System Design and Configuration Plans
  • Extract business processes through client interviews and engagement.
  • Provide technical mentoring and training to clients and co-workers.
  • Prepare concise and accurate written correspondence.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to perform technical activities consistent with project plans within project scope and budget.
  • Track progress on project tasks relative to scope, deliverables, schedule, and budget.
  • Develops and implements testing strategies.
  • Ensures implemented products meet company requirements. Conducts training of new products to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Assists in creating and updating product documentation.
  • Communicates project status, issues, and risks to management.
  • DataManagement and Reporting
  • Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Knowledge of Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) approaches and tools.
  • Knowledge of PowerBI and Power Apps for data visualization and manipulation.
Education & Experience Qualifications:
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from accredited program.
  • 2-5 years of professional work experience with an emphasis on spatial tool administration and development.
  • ESRI software experience (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, Business Analyst).
  • Experience developing and maintaining spatial databases.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication, and proven ability to plan, manage and prioritize workload effectively.
  • GISP preferred.
