The employee working in this job classification will make deliveries in the Indianapolis direct market territory driving class B trucks. Class B CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements is required. The products range from bulk lubricants to package freight. Drivers interface with customers, warehouse employees, sales, and management on a daily basis. This employee will also work in the warehouse at times picking deliveries, loading/unloading trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks.
How You’ll Make an Impact

Must work in a safe and efficient manner while on route delivering bulk and package materials, as designated by Valvoline, to customers. Employees must promote professional interactions with customers at the locations while delivering product, collecting recyclable materials (e.g. drums and pallets) and managing paperwork. Following both Valvoline and Customer rules.

Employees will help in the warehouse picking and staging deliveries, filling totes, loading/unloading trucks. Use of forklifts and pallet jacks will be required.

Employees are also responsible for cleanliness and upkeep of their dock and vehicle. They are required to communicate any issues with their equipment, including but not limited to their Truck, Dock, Pallet Jack, PPE, and Drum Cart.

Employees must also complete safety and quality training as designated by Valvoline.

Employees are responsible to punch in/out in a timely manner, manage their Hours of Service (through ELD provider), maintaining their driver qualifications and follow all state/federal laws.

Employees will periodically have to troubleshoot truck equipment or pumping system problems while out in the field. Other applicable tasks may be assigned by plant management to meet both safety and customer service requirements.

Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
What You’ll Need

Must have Class B CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements

High school diploma or equivalent

Computer literate to complete both LMS and electronic logs.

Must be able to sit/stand for long periods of time, lift 50 lbs multiple times per day, bend/squat for lifting, pull a hose, climb stairs & ladders, and operate both manual (or) electric pallet jacks & manual (or) electric drum carts.
