Overview

Daifuku Automotive America Corporation is a leader in Design, Manufacturing, Installation and Support of automotive automation/material handling systems in North America. The company is currently seeking Someone experienced in Shipping - Receiving for the facility in Carlisle, SC.

Responsibilities

Reports to the Operations Manager – Responsible for processing sales orders for shipping to include, but not limited to, kitting parts, creating work orders, arranging shipments, preparing shipping documents for national and international shipments and coordinating efforts with home office.  

Other responsibilities

  • Maintains files and records of shipping/receiving documents for domestic and/or international transactions.
  • Prepares documentation for shipment of materials, parts, finished goods and related items.
  • Verifies that materials received are as ordered in both type and quantity.
  • May route incoming shipments to proper departments or destinations.
  • Maintains records of cycle counting documents.
  • Processes work orders to cover manufacturing demands.
  • Processes receipts of incoming parts.
  • Maintains records of manufacturing for the shop.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrate full proficiency in MS Office suite of products.
  • Time Management – Managing one’s own time; a Self-starter who is well organized.
  • Verbal and Written Expression and Recognition – The ability to listen to, understand and communicate information and ideas presented through spoken or written words and sentences.
  • Information Ordering – The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
  • Accurate typing.
  • Data entry experience desired.
  • Good interpersonal communications skills with the ability to relate to employees, outside vendors, and customers.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to be present on the job and on time. 
  • English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Work Environment

Remain stationary for 50% of the time; move/traverse throughout the office to access file cabinets and office equipment; operate a computer and other productivity machinery; inspect documents; communicate with others through talking/hearing; read/identify/assess forms and correspondence

Education and ExperienceHS diploma.

A minimum of one year shipping and receiving experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
