Duties:
MRI technologists run the magnetic resonance imaging scanner to create a diagnostic image for the physician. They maintain imaging equipment and ensure that their patients are protected and in an optimal position for imaging. They must work closely with the physician by taking medical histories, kee Close ping records and adjusting the scanner as directed. Requirements: Associate's Degree in Applied Science; Two (2) years of experience as a Technologist in Imaging Services preferred; Must meet one of the following: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography. Must become registered in MRI within two (2) years of date of hire in the MRI department. If a technologist fails to become registered in MRI within 2 years of their MRI hire date, he/she will be terminated from the MRI Tech position. Transfer to an alternate role in another modality such as General X-ray or CT may be offered depending on the candidate's ability to meet minimum job requirements, availability of open positions, and requires the approval of the area's supervisor, manager, and/or department director; Completion of an accredited MRI program and ARRT registered in MRI.

Education:
Associate's Degree in Applied Science - Required

Skills:

Schedule Notes: **13 week assignment** NOTE THE SHIFT YOUR CANDIDATE IS AVAILABLE FOR WITH SUBMISSION - if not noted candidates will not be passed over for manager review Manager is looking for a candidate that can jump in and immediately assist in easing the workload for their direct workforce REQUIRED: Associates in Applied Science, Minimum of 2 years experience as a Technologist in imaging services, must be a registered MRI Tech (ARRT or ARMRIT), previous experience with IV start and venipuncture REQUIRED: Candidates must have experience with either Phillips 1.5 Tesla Ingenia or Client 3T Signa Premier scanners, it is preferred that candidates have experience with both Preferred: Experience using EPIC charting system Will be working with inpatient and outpatient populations Common procedures: Prostates, rectal cancer staging screens, breast biopsies, pacemakers, stimulators, cardiac, research, arthrogram, urogram
