This position takes place in a highly structured 24 hour residential facility program working with male youth clientele. Assist the population in improving their behaviors and meeting their treatment goals. Staff members are role models and actively engage clients served to meet overall behavior goals.

Know and understand each client's treatment needs. Review and contribute to revising treatment plans and implementation. Maintain confidentiality at all times per HIPAA standards.

Provide therapeutic care and treatment of all clients equally and effectively according to the standards outlined in the Counselor's Orientation manual and agency policies and procedures manual.

Maintain cleanliness of facility by performing general and light household chores (sweeping, dusting, ensuring bathrooms are clean, etc.) during the overnight shift while clients are asleep.

Monitor clients at irregular intervals throughout the night (hours of sleep) to provide monitoring of all clients throughout the night; this includes walking up and down the halls and looking into each and every assigned bedroom.

Begin preparing for the next day's meals (laying out frozen items, starting items in crock pot, etc.). Preparing lunches for the following day.

Develop and adhere to a written morning schedule and post within the facility for all clients and staff to follow.

Learn, utilize, and model the following tools/modalities for all clientele: Head Heart Hands, Cycles of Growth and Change, Think It Tools for Living, New Me curriculum, and any subsequent program models implemented by the agency.

Wake clients every morning to prepare for morning daily scheduled routine. Administer morning medications as ordered. Conduct a morning check-in (HDID, and verbal safety plans to attend the daily scheduled activities).

Prepare breakfast for clients every morning (light breakfast Monday - Friday with larger breakfasts on the weekends).

Assist clients in morning chores, coaching them to perform the chore properly.

Assist clients in daily chores, coaching them to perform the chore properly.

Follow all traffic laws when driving with clients or using company vehicles (seat belts, speed limits, yielding requirements, etc.).

Attend scheduled staff meetings and mandatory training.

Appropriately accept and cooperate with supervisory guidance and leadership. Work consistently with peers and with agency representatives.

Support a teamwork environment.

Participate in quality improvement program. Participate in safety programs agency-wide including completion of fire/disaster drills, notification of potential hazards, etc.

Professionalism in all areas of work, including client and co-worker relationships.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum 21 years of age.

All employment contingent upon satisfactory results of background check and drug screening.
