The Department of Human Services is seeking dedicated Custodial Workers to join our custodial staff at Wernersville State Hospital. In this role, you will provide custodial and linen distribution services across living units, offices, and various areas in over 10 buildings on our 266-bed campus. If you have a positive attitude and are looking for a rewarding career opportunity, we invite you to apply today and become a valued member of our team DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will be responsible for the basic housekeeping needs of the hospital in designated areas. You will help maintain a clean, comfortable, and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors. It is essential to perform all tasks safely by adhering to established regulations and procedures to prevent accidents. You may also assist with shoveling snow, sweeping and cleaning walkways, and keeping the outside premises and building entrances tidy. As an essential employee, you will be required to report to work during emergencies and office closures. Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This position includes rotating weekends and holidays as assigned. Overtime and travel maybe required as needed. May change based on operational needs.
