We are hiring two Quality Technician Inspectors. These individuals will be joining our team at our factory in Tucker Georgia. One each will be assigned to an afternoon shift and morning shift.

This job role will require demonstrated abilities to resolve technical issues and pursue root causes. Must be detail oriented, adherence to requirements, and have both written and verbal communication skills. These individuals must be able to read and understand process descriptions and procedures, and check for compliance to those procedures. These individuals will also spend some time inspecting actual product.

Our approach to Quality is to make sure we are following our process. As a member of our Quality Team, we will work with you to build your skills as you help us build our company.

Duties and responsibilities

The primary duties of the quality technician are to complete inspections, perform specified tests, complete product certificates & documentation, and to ensure that the product development and manufacturing process is adhered. The technician will be responsible for performing tests on products at various stages of production to ensure that customer specifications are being met and company and product quality standards are followed. General duties and responsibilities typically include:

  • Verify process compliance. Read and understand the process descriptions, inspection requirements, and machine settings. Using check lists, walk through our manufacturing cells on regular basis and record compliance / non-compliance.
  • Verify that product is being measured, work instructions are being followed, processes are being followed.
  • When non-conformances are found, individual will assist in product containment, perform initial root cause investigation.
  • Inspect product to visual inspection criteria. Must be able to read and understand detailed inspection criteria.
  • Inspect product using common measurement tools - calipers, inspection fixtures, tensile tester, etc. Must be able to read and understand product drawings.
  • Record information into our inventory system - product scrap, product on containment, etc
  • Other tasks as requested by the Quality Manager, within the scope of the job description.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, support others in their efforts to continuously improve our site 5S.
Desired Qualifications
  • 2 to 3 years in a manufacturing environment
  • Detailed record keeping.
  • Ability to communicate with team Leaders in Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance.
  • Experience working in an IATF 16949, ISO 9001, or similar quality system.
  • Ability to use computer software to record and retrieve information - MS Word, Excel, ERP and similar database.
  • Person may be asked to work some overtime.
