Pennoni is currently looking for a Civil Engineer/Land Development with experience consistent, but not limited to:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform tasks on multi-discipline projects on a variety of project sites within the City of Winchester as well as the surrounding region.
  • Work on the development of Land Development Plans including the preparation of engineering design drawings, technical specification, and engineering reports (from schematic design through construction).
  • Coordinate permits through regulatory agencies for large scale, complex projects.
  • Perform hydrologic/hydraulic analysis (including Stormwater Management Water Quantity & Quality compliance).
  • Work on multiple projects and tasks.
  • Complete field inspections, as needed.
  • Prepare proposals for new & existing clients (including estimation of project fees).
  • Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.
Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or a related discipline).
  • 3+ years of professional experience working in Engineering, preferably with Land Development design projects.
  • Applicants without degree and 7-9 years site civil design experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the Land Development process in the Winchester and Martinsburg surrounding region.
  • Knowledge of site design functions: site layout, grading, utility design, stormwater management, erosion control, municipal & land-use regulatory approvals, etc.
  • Experience working with stormwater management, especially while utilizing Hydrology and Hydraulics (H&H) modeling tools.
  • Proficiency with engineering tools; experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus
  • Proficiency on standard office software applications: Microsoft Office 365 (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, etc.; experience working with Bluebeam Revu is a plus
  • Proven track record of demonstrating punctuality with consistent attendance.
  • Proven ability to work in an energetic & challenging team environment as a collaborative Team Player, especially while maintaining the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills, especially when working on a variety of projects while providing solutions to difficult issues.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
