Posting Number: S05404P Department: Student Counseling Salary Range: Commensurate with expertise Pay Basis: Monthly Position Status: Regular full-time Location: Richardson Job Description: Counselors within the center provide brief individual counseling, crisis services, outreach, advocacy, workshops, and therapy groups. The center works as a collaborative team around initiatives to enhance mental health services for the students at UT Dallas. Counselors at this time are offering both in-person and virtual mental health services and are allotted one work-from-home day/week. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Social Work from an accredited program and clinical independent licensure in the state of Texas before start date; OR doctoral degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited Program and licensure as a psychologist within the first year of employment 1 year of related experience Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a multidisciplinary team of professionals Strong clinical skills and ability to maintain up to date and accurate documentation Preferred Education and Experience: Licensed in Texas Previous experience in a university/college setting Interest and experience in providing supervision and training to practicum therapists and/or doctoral interns from a relational and use-of-self model Bilingual Important Message: 1) All employees serve as a representative of the University and are expected to display respect, civility, professional courtesy, consideration of others and discretion in all interactions with members of the UT Dallas community and the general public. 2) The University of Texas at Dallas is committed to providing an educational, living, and working environment that is welcoming, respectful, and inclusive of all members of the university community.
