The Department of Internal Medicine, University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile, Alabama is seeking a full-time board eligible/board certified Endocrinologist. Applicants with credentials to support the rank of assistant, associate or full professor will be considered. The Division of Endocrinology focuses on specialty care of patients with endocrine system diseases and disorders. Our current practice is comprised of four endocrinologists and one advanced practice provider. The combined efforts of our providers and staff are recognized by the ADA Education Recognition Program.

We seek applicants with an understanding of the medical, educational, clinical, and administrative issues for internal medicine residents and 1st-4th year medical students at a small medical school. Providers will assist with inpatient endocrine care management (both independently and with residents) and outpatient clinical activity. Providers may be asked to assist with inpatient general internal medicine teaching services at our hospital as well. Successful applicants will assist with the residency program needs and quality improvement programs. There are expectations for career advancement through the academic promotions process. Currently, we are unable to support VISA needs.
