Family Practice Physician Compensation
The salary for this position is $250,000 – $280,000 per year
Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Family Practice Physician Highlights
Direct hire with potential for long-term growth
Full-time, 40 hours per week
Work with a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare providers
Weekends and evening shifts as necessary
Family Practice Physician Responsibilities
Perform medical examinations, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care
Educate patients and families about preventive care and medical treatments
Request referrals for specialty services, labs, and tests
Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with state standards
Oversee clinical support staff, including Midlevel Practitioners and Medical Assistants
Assist in developing protocols for the delivery of comprehensive health services
Participate in planning and implementing new clinical programs and technologies
Provide in-service training for staff as needed
Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth patient flow
Provide backup support for mid-level practitioners, reviewing their charts and providing guidance
Family Practice Physician Requirements
Medical degree from an accredited medical school
Completion of an accredited residency program
Valid and current California Medical License
Board Eligible or Certified in Family Practice (must become certified within 2 years if Board Eligible)
Current DEA Registration
Current BLS and ACLS Certification
Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check
Family Practice Physician Preferred Qualifications
One year of directly related experience
Community or Public Health experience
Bilingual in Spanish or Mandarin is highly desirable
Family Practice Physician Critical Skills and Abilities
Ability to make independent decisions with minimal supervision
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet-based tools
Experience working with a diverse patient population
Physical Demands
Sitting, standing, and walking in a medical office environment
Moderate physical activity, including bending, stretching, and lifting
Exposure to potential hazards requiring protective equipment (OSHA training provided)
Family Practice Physician Supervises
May supervise medical interns, medical students, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants
