Our manufacturing client is looking to add a skilled Technical Content Strategist to their team. In this role, you will collaborate with subject matter experts to create comprehensive documentation that enhances the understanding and usability of their products. The ideal candidate will have a background in technical writing and a passion for translating complex technical information into clear, user-friendly documents.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, maintenance manuals, and service bulletins for our agricultural equipment
  • Collaborate with engineering, product development, and customer support teams to gather information and ensure the accuracy and completeness of documentation
  • Create diagrams, charts, and illustrations to complement the written content
  • Create content-related illustrations using 2D and 3D graphical programs, digital photographs, and drawings or diagrams from solid models
  • Standardize content across platforms and media.
  • Edit and update existing documentation to reflect product updates and feedback from users
  • Ensure documentation meets industry standards and adheres to the company's branding and style guidelines
  • Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to improve documentation quality

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical writing, industrial design, graphic design, communications, engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial equipment industry
  • Experience with Adobe FrameMaker, Illustrator and Photoshop or similar software required
  • Experience with CAD (Computer Aided Design) software required
  • Mechanical, hydraulic, and/or electrical experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex technical information
