JOB DESCRIPTION

Looking for highly motivated nurses to help on this PCU Cardiac Unit. You will care for a variety of heart failure patients. Staffing Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test

Department: Telemetry 4B

Shift Timings: 18:45 - 07:15

Unit Capacity: 23 Beds Population Served: Advanced heart failure, cardiomyopathy, Acute Coronary Syndrome, pre and post cardiac surgery, and other related cardiac disorders.

Ages of Patients Served: Young Adult through Late Adult (18 - 60+)

Nurse to Patient Ratios: 5:1

Core Staffing Plan: Variable staffing grid to include: Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), Nurse Interns (NIs).

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Completion of a fully accredited RN program
  • Minimum three years RN PCU Telemetry experience
  • Active unencumbered Tennessee RN state license
Requirements:
  • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.

  • A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
