SUMMARY:

As the Registered Endoscopy Nurse, you will contribute to the company's mission and vision by utilizing the nursing process during the intra-operative phase of the patients care in the outpatient setting. This individual will plan and deliver safe, effective nursing care while in the intra-operative setting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Coordinate and oversee the room during the procedure as the circulator
  • Assist the Physician, Endoscopy Technician and Anesthesia Team
  • Assists the physician during the procedure using biopsy forceps, polypectomy snare, endo clips, esophageal dilation balloons and Maloney dilators and cautery.
  • Collection and documentation of Specimen collection
Education Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed to practice in the State of Florida.
  • Experience: Minimum of Two years Registered Endoscopy Nurse experience is required.
  • Must be BLS & ACLS certified.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Requires lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to fifty (50) pounds while administering patient care
  • Stooping, kneeling and/or crouching
  • Standing and walking five (5) or more hours per day
  • Reaching, grasping, and handling and/or feeling five (5) or more hours per day
