SQL/Oracle Database Consultant

Must-have skills : EDU : BS or 4 y of DevOps exp
2+ y cloud database experience
Microsoft SQL and Oracle databases
migration exp from Oracle Database to Azure.
PREFERRED :
Azure SQL Databases (i.e. single, elastic, Managed Instance, IaaS)
Azure Data certification
ETL tools (i.e. SSIS, Azure Data Factory)
Data Warehousing, specifically Azure Data Lake, Snowflake etc
gov exp

Requirements:
• Availability to work on Client's site in Tallahassee, FL (required);
• Cloud database experience (2+ years);
• Experience with Microsoft SQL and Oracle databases;
• Experience with integration and deployment of SQL with outside sources and applications;
• Experience with Azure SQL Databases (i.e. single, elastic, Managed Instance, IaaS) (preferred);
• Experience with ETL tools (i.e. SSIS, Azure Data Factory) (preferred);
• Experience with data warehousing, specifically Azure Data Lake, Snowflake or equivalent (preferred);
• Experience defining database systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing,
and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures and implementing practical
business solutions under multiple deadlines;
• Azure Data certification (preferred);
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management
Information Systems (MIS), or other technology related field or one (1) year of DevOps
experience for each year of education.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
•Provide overall migration assistance for Oracle Database to Azure;
• Provide recommendation and guidance in developing a strategic plan to migrate current Oracle and SQL-backed applications to public cloud;
• Advise on a pathway of governance for achieving Department program objectives;
• Create and maintain technical documentation of the future system architecture;
• Performs other related duties as required.
