Responsible for managing psychotropic medications for the clients of RHA. We are seeking compassionate and positive Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide therapeutic support for service users with mental health, behavioral health and substance abuse issues.

Requirements

Our ideal Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is an excellent communicator and listener, who has a certification as a psychiatric nurse practitioner and experience working with the population supported. Relies on experience, knowledge, and judgment to provide services with limited supervision and direction.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Must be licensed by the North Carolina Nursing Board as a Registered Nurse
  • Must be certified at the national level by American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Be familiar with standards of practice for position and NC Medicaid Board as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Preferred 3 years experience working in behavioral health care.
  • The Nurse Practitioner must complete a minimum of twenty (20) hours of training specific to the required components of the service definition including crisis response within the first 90 days of employment.
  • For employees providing MCM, a minimum of one year's experience in providing crisis management services in the following settings: assertive outreach, assertive community treatment, emergency department or other service providing 24/7 response in emergent or urgent situations.
  • Valid driver's license (this is a condition of employment) including personal vehicle insurance coverage.
  • The following are conditions of employment: CPR, first aid, NCI certification and others that may be specified and/or required by future company regulations. Must maintain proficiency in company sponsored training and certifications and privileging if required.
Salary: Pay rate negotiable based on experience and certifications

Hours: Weekdays. Part time to Full time options
