Part-Time Physical Therapist Assistant for Skilled Nursing Facility

We are excited to invite a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. This role offers flexibility and a chance to create a significant positive impact on the lives of residents in a fulfilling and supportive setting.
Position Summary:
As a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will operate under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapy services that enhance residents' mobility, strength, and overall functionality. Your role will include assisting in the implementation of treatment plans and playing a vital part in helping residents achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute therapy treatment plans designed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Guide residents through exercises and activities aimed at improving mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
- Monitor and document residents' progress during therapy sessions and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Educate residents and their families about exercises and techniques to support ongoing therapy goals outside of sessions.
- Ensure accurate documentation of therapy sessions, residents' progress, and outcomes in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide a comprehensive approach to resident care.
- Deliver therapy services on a PRN basis as required to support residents' care plans.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Colorado.
- Preferred: Prior experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering a collaborative approach to care.
- Flexibility to work PRN as needed.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation.
