Become part of a dynamic group of sales professionals As an Engineering sales Manager, you'll identify, research, evaluate, and pursue domestic business development opportunities that will provide the organization short and long-term business goals for the energy sector by way of acquiring Hempel specifications with upstream, midstream, and downstream, O&G companies.

What do you need to be successful in this role?

  • Coordinate and drive of all the major domestic protective business that is influenced by North American companies and create a Hempel specification base in North America.
  • Launch and carry out networking events such as customer seminars according to a clearly outlined annual schedule including a willingness to travel to attend events or facilitate presentations.
  • Identify, establish, and ensure excellent contacts with Key North American companies.
  • Ensure that Hempel is specified with the most suitable and competitive systems in owners, engineering firms, and applicators.
  • Use CRM to proactively identify, track and coordinate projects, always involving the relevant colleagues and functions.
  • Secure orders for the projects and clients identified in the target list.
  • Understand and capitalize Hempel's strengths against key competitors in the market.
  • Handle support requests originating from other Hempel companies abroad.
  • Ensure that comprehensive information on all customer and project activities is accessible to the company and ensure appropriate involvement of relevant colleagues.
  • Engage actively in industry associations like AMPP and API, involving participation in committees and delivering presentations.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrate a minimum of 10 years proven experience.
  • Possess a demonstrated sales background in the O&G industry.
  • Have a bachelor's degree in business, chemical engineering or other related field.
  • Demonstrate excellent report writing and verbal communication skills within all levels of the organization.
  • Industrial coatings experience
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft package
  • Strong PC computer skills: Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems
  • Knowledge of continuing improvement methodology is a plus (Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, TQM, etc.)
  • Certifications: AMPP CIP level 3 is preferred
