POSITION SUMMARY:

The Resin Lead coordinates manufacturing activities within the Polymer (Resin) manufacturing and Bucket wash areas through training, deployment and supervision of personnel, awareness and arrangement of equipment maintenance, planning raw material deliveries, ensuring/performing accurate inventory transactions, and applying production schedules. Position requires flexible work schedule.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organizes, directs, and oversees the correct and timely completion of production functions.
  • Organizes, prioritizes and oversees production functions. Ensures that processes are being completed according to Company standards and specifications
  • Ensures that equipment & raw materials are available and maintained (orders raw materials, writes work orders/coordinates maintenance activities)
  • Completes related paperwork, reports, and support functions. Monitors inventory for each job to ensure appropriate levels.
  • Maintains the production schedule provided by scheduling personnel. Informs management of any significant problems, issues or concerns. Schedules and coordinates equipment repair activities.
  • Ensures that production functions are conducted in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that established production procedures and instructions are followed.
  • Ensures quality and safety standards are met.
  • Ensures that deadlines are met.
  • Ensures that work areas are clean, secure, and well maintained.
  • Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

  • Completes and updates production and inventory records as assigned.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.
  • Assists in other areas as needed.
  • Move waste from generation point to 90-day Storage Area
  • Properly close and label waste containers using NPAA procedures
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Establishes and maintains good communication, coordination, and working relations with Company personnel and management.
  • Assists, directs, and supports production personnel as needed. Evaluates the progress and performance of direct reports. Provides suggestions for improved performances. Performs the duties of direct reports as needed.
  • Keeps the Plant Manager informed of area activities and of any significant concerns. Identifies problems and provides suggestions.
  • Attends meetings as required.
  • Coordinates and communicates with other related departments regarding inter-department activities.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Operations Management from accredited school preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years chemical manufacturing experience. Experience with polymer or reaction chemistry preferred.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory or project management experience preferred.
  • HAZMAT training (Hazwoper, etc) or site Incident Commander experience preferred.
