Personal Injury Paralegal

Our law firm is looking for an experienced and motivated Pre-Litigation Personal Injury Paralegal to join our team in Douglasville, GA. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pre-litigation personal injury procedures, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage client relationships effectively. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting attorneys and clients during the pre-litigation phase of personal injury cases. Responsibilities: • Case Management: Manage a caseload of personal injury ensuring all necessary documents are completed and deadlines are met. • Client Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, keeping them informed about case progress, gathering relevant information, and ensuring they understand the process. • Medical Record Management: Obtain, review, and organize medical records, bills, and other documentation necessary to assess the value of a claim and assist in settlement negotiations. • Investigation and Discovery: Conduct investigations into accidents, including gathering police reports, witness statements, and other evidence that may support a claim. • Insurance Liaison: Communicate with insurance companies, adjusters, and third parties to facilitate the claims process and secure medical payments or benefits for clients. • Demand Packages: Prepare and organize demand letters and settlement packages, including supporting documentation (medical records, bills, lost wage information, etc.) • Legal Documentation: Draft legal documents, including release forms, lien negotiations, and other paperwork required for case settlement. • Deadline Management: Monitor and track critical case deadlines, including statute of limitations, and ensure that all deadlines are met and no key steps are missed. • Client Support: Maintain a compassionate and professional relationship with clients, addressing concerns, answering questions, and offering updates as needed. Qualifications: • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience working as a paralegal in personal injury law, with specific experience in the pre-litigation phase. • Education: Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Assistant Certification, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification preferred). • Knowledge: Strong understanding of personal injury law, insurance claims processes and pre-litigation procedures. • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in an understandable manner to clients and other parties. • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, keep detailed records, and meet deadlines. • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure accuracy in legal documentation and case management. • Technology Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, legal case management software, and document management systems. • Client-Focused: Demonstrated ability to build relationships with clients and handle sensitive matters with professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality. Compensation: $55,000 +
