The Insurance Associate is responsible for assisting the VP, Front End Insurance Compliance in the analysis of insurance information received from borrowers to proactively identify insurance deficiencies.

Essential Job Functions (Duties/Responsibilities)

The Insurance Associate will have the following duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Receive and collect insurance information from third parties (insurance agents/brokers)
  • Ensure complete and accurate insurance information is sent to appropriate departments within the company
  • Communicate and follow-up with insurance agents and Underwriting Analysts for additional information when needed
  • Remain in contact with both internal clients and insurance agents/brokers
  • Insurance file maintenance
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree; Insurance Broker's License is preferred but not required.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience working in the insurance industry, specifically property coverage knowledge

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Possess excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Hard working, a quick learner, detail oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment


Travel: None

Arbor Realty Trust, Inc. offers a competitive base salary and discretionary bonus. The starting base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000. The specific compensation that will be offered is based on an understanding of the hired candidates' qualifications at the time of hire. Employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus based on employee work performance reviewed during the course of the year. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.
