Job Duties: Lead the loads and aeroelastics analysis through the design, development and certification cycles of a Part-25 aircraft. Develop certification plan for loads and flutter. Develop analysis tools for flutter and loads modelling and calculations. Build numerical models (FEM, Doublet Lattice) for loads and aeroservoelasticity analysis. Perform aircraft flight loads analysis, including manoeuvre and gust response. Perform aeroelastic analysis: flutter, aeroservoelasticity for a fly-by-wire aircraft. Support ground and landing loads analysis by providing structural dynamics models and data. Interface with all key disciplines, including structures, mass properties, flight controls, propulsion and flight science, to develop data needed for aeroelastic modelling and analysis. Manage the external loads delivery to the structures team for the maturation of structural design of the aircraft. Participate in trade studies and apply aeroelasticity principles to provide guidance to develop the aircraft design. Manage external engineering services suppliers for loads and aeroelastics analysis and development. Plan loads and aeroelastics activities, including multiple loads loops and flutter checks, through all the development phases of the aircraft. Minimum Requirements: Requires a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field, plus eight (8) years of experience. Special Requirements: Must have eight (8) years of experience with each of the following: 1. Applied aeroelasticity, aircraft external loads analysis and structural dynamics. 2. NASTRAN or Altair Optistruct FEM modelling and analysis (static and dynamic). 3. MATLAB. 4. Certification requirements for loads and aeroelastics (FAR, EASA). Must have five (5) years of experience with the following: 1. ZONA ZAERO for aeroelastic analysis.
