Engine Testing Engineer | Stoughton, WI

Contract: 12 months with possible extension/direct hire

Schedule: 100% onsite | M-F (8am - 5pm)

Compensation: $38.92/hour with optional benefits/paid time off

Must Haves:

Education:

Experience:

Additional Manager Notes: Candidates will manage data quality, run tests, and analyze data. They need to be hands-on and interface with test requestors. A coding background is a bonus. Interviews will be conducted onsite.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed working diagrams of machinery and mechanical devices, including dimensions, fastening methods, and other engineering information.
  • Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanical devices.
  • Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects.
  • Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendations to the maintenance crew.
  • Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using tools, equipment, or software.
Skills:
  • Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Team player and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
  • Previous experience with computer applications and software related to the engineering field, such as Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
  • 2-4 years of experience required.
Responsibility Level:
  • Exercises moderate independent judgment with direction from supervisor.
