Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design, develop, and manage data pipelines and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure services, Google Marketing Platform, and social media platforms like Facebook and Pinterest. This role will require hybrid work (Monday-Wednesday on-site in Grand Rapids, MI) and involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and implement data movement pipelines, dashboards, and analytics assets using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, and related tools.

• Build data ingestion and extraction pipelines for marketing platforms, including Google Marketing Platform, Salesforce MCI, and The Trade Desk.

• Assist in the configuration and administration of marketing platforms and tools like ADvendio.

• Gather functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring solutions meet performance, security, and SLA standards.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather analytics requirements and design corresponding solutions.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and adhere to SAFe Agile principles for development and deployment.

• Develop and implement secure, compliant solutions in coordination with IT Security and Infrastructure teams.

• Interface with product managers and IT partners to define and estimate features for agile teams.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data and analytics solutions development, with 2-3 years in Azure data movement and 5-7 years in ETL development.

• Strong expertise in Azure services, including Data Factory, Log Analytics, Databricks, Synapse, Power BI, and ADLS Gen2.

• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Python.

• Knowledge of Google Marketing Platform, Salesforce MCI, The Trade Desk, and related marketing platforms.

• Proven ability to design data pipelines for ingestion, storage, and analysis with an emphasis on automation, governance, and security.

• Familiarity with API architecture in Azure.

• Strong understanding of Power BI, data modeling, and data architecture.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with marketing data ingestion and analytics.

• Knowledge of Python scripting and API architecture.

• SAFe certification or training.

• Experience in diverse technical environments and configurations.

• Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.
