Physical Therapist- neurological in-patient rehabilitation setting. This Therapist will get to work with a variety of diagnoses that include, but are not limited to:
- Acquired Brain Injuries (Traumatic and Non-traumatic)
- Strokes/CVAs, Amputations
- Spinal Cord Injuries, Cardiopulmonary Impairment

Physical Therapist will work as a key team member to drive patient care in weekly conferences, along with opportunities to serve on a variety of committees to enhance patient care and patient experience on a daily basis.
The job would be full time, M-F, we are a 7-day in-patient rehab hospital. We are located less than 20 minutes from Midland, Bay City, and Frankemuth and have strived to create a positive employee environment while providing remarkable patient care."
Sign-on Bonus- up to $10,000 with a three-year commitment.

Summary:
Assumes full responsibility for evaluating patient's need for physical therapy. Plans and executes individual treatment programs in accordance with the State of Michigan licensure and PT scope of practice. Keeps treatment skills upgraded through continuing education, evidence-based research, and program development. Perform job responsibilities in accordance with the program's strategic objectives and goals to carry out organizational strategic objectives.

Age and Clinical Specific Competencies:
- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in assigned department.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.
- The therapist shall be responsible to complete a competency-based orientation at the time of hire, and all required training and competency assessments annually.

- Instructs the patient and the family in physical therapy procedures as part of providing patient and family education including written instructions as necessary.

Essential Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Education, and Training Requirements):
- Graduate of Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)
- Licensure with the State of Michigan.
- Possesses and maintains BLS certification to meet department/program protocol.
Physical Demands
- The physical ability to lift, position, and transport patients.
- The ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, twist, crawl, grasp, reach, and occasionally climb.
- The ability to hear, speak, write, and see (correctable vision).
- The ability to frequently lift up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift in excess of 75 pounds.
- The ability to occasionally push, pull, or carry weight anywhere from 1 to 100+ pounds while assisting patients and moving equipment.
- The ability to exert up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, 10-20 pounds of force frequently, and exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly.
