Sr. Linux Engineer

Job Title: Linux EngineerJob Description Design, develop, document, and test I/O communications and device drivers. Contribute to the development of product design specifications including functional requirements, use cases, detailed design, interface, and test plans. Participate in design verification testing processes and procedures. Assist with planning and support of field installations of Alpha and Beta phase. Contribute to design and code reviews and product and system-level test efforts. Design to industry standard interfaces where required. Support and adhere to Company's core values, Code of Conduct, and Ethics Policy. Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required. Represent the company in a positive, professional manner when working with both internal and external customers. This role involves ramping up the code base, addressing bugs, and implementing features on a Linux platform. Buildroot experience is a nice to have. Hard Skills Linux (embedded firmware) Linux command line experience Low-level Linux debugging Linux development Embedded C/C++ Python or Bash scripting Azure DevOps (nice to have) Jenkins build system (nice to have) Git Gerrit (nice to have) Networking skills (nice to have) Soft Skills Strong problem-solving abilities Effective communication Ability to work both independently and in a team Attention to detail Adaptability Job Type This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Month(s). Work Site This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Alpharetta, Georgia and some days remote. Work Environment An onsite employee is preferred, but hybrid flexibility may be allowed on a case-by-case basis. The schedule is from 8 AM to 5 PM. Firmware developers will report to the supervisor (based in IN) but will be seated in the Alpharetta, GA office.
