What does a Physical Therapist do?

To excel in the role of a Physical Therapist at Progressive Rehabilitation Medicine, PC, you must possess a diverse set of skills. These include excellent written and verbal communication abilities, a solid educational foundation in anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR applications. Additionally, having strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse patient populations, explaining therapies clearly, and providing professional responses to inquiries are key skills required for this role.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong educational foundation of anatomy

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer software applications
  • Proficiency using EMR applications and understanding of OT documentation guidelines

  • Must be open-minded and be able to both take and provide constructive criticism well
  • Strong organization skills and abilities to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with all populations
  • Strong understanding of time management and workflow
  • Ability to understand and explain anatomical functions and descriptions of therapies being provided
  • Ability to answer patient questions in professional scientific manner
  • Ability to lift 20-50 Lbs. on occasion
