WHO YOU ARE

You are a compassionate and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist who provides Speech-Language mentorship services to students with autism, developmental delays, and other learning disabilities while working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high quality treatment, documentation, and compliance in a school-based environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Screening - Complete screening requests to determine students' need for evaluation
  • Evaluation - Conduct standardized assessments of students to determine eligibility due to speech and language deficits, such as articulation, language, and pragmatic needs
  • Treatment - Write evidence based speech and language therapy plans for students who have speech related needs, incorporating various treatment strategies and accommodations
  • Documentation - Complete documentation in accordance with deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Communication - Maintain communication with student's families and/or caregivers regarding progress and needs
  • Collaboration - Work with multidisciplinary team members to determine the most appropriate treatment plan based on client needs and improve service delivery
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology or Communication Disorders
  • One year of progressive experience as an Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Pennsylvania Instructional 1 Teaching Certificate OR PA Educational Specialist Certification
  • PA State Speech-Language Pathologist License
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental delays (Preferred)
  • Experience working in a school setting (Preferred)
Clearances & Training Required
  • Act 33 PA Child Abuse History Clearance
  • Act 34 PA State Criminal History Clearance
  • Act 114 FBI Clearance issued by the Dept of Education
  • Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training Certificate
  • Act 168 from Previous Employers where you came into contact with children
  • State License of Practice and/or Certification
  • CPR/First Aid
  • TB/Physical
