What you'll be doing:

  • Lead and support Floor Technicians on assigned tasks to ensure the cleanliness of floors using various mechanical and powered cleaning equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance of floor equipment in addition to assisting with floor cleaning duties which includes stripping, scrubbing, waxing, buffing and carpet cleaning.
  • Assist with monitoring the team's time and schedules.
  • Direct floor techs to properly move furniture and merchandise prior to floor care services.
  • Supervise floor techs in the proper use of equipment and supplies.
  • Assist in ordering supplies, tools and equipment from approved vendors as needed.
  • Notify manager of equipment needing repair and/or replacement.
  • Make recommendations for additional services or service improvement to the Floor Tech Manager.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for customers and employees.
  • Ensure Floor Techs follow all work procedures and standards according to the quality management system.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform other floor care duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in floor tech or custodian services
  • Strong knowledge of floor care and custodial services
  • Ability to operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with manager and staff

Working Environment Conditions/Requirements:

  • Have the ability to push, pull and lift 30lbs. with or without accommodations
  • Must be able to meet all physical requirements to perform all duties of the position including the ability to bend, reach, grasp, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
  • Available to work various shifts

Shift: Monday- Friday from 1:30pm-10pm
