Summary

The Shop Clerk helps ensure that the shop runs smoothly and efficiently. Complete any and all tasks assigned by the Operation Manager. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Ideal candidates will have basic computer skills, experience working in a shop and pulling inventory for shipments. Attention to detail will be necessary.

Essential Functions

  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
  • Help with ensuring correct material is pulled and loaded on our truck for delivery
  • Recording selected merchandise in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Ensuring correct and complete labels are attached to all orders processed
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
  • Operate and preventively maintain shop equipment
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Working in accordance with all shop safety regulations
  • Load finished product onto truck
  • Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager regarding the shop or deliveries
  • Navigate equipment through the shop to collect customer orders


Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum Education - High School diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of architectural door materials and hardware


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Experience driving trucks for delivery preferred
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Good communication skills - Proper use of company issued devices
  • Ability to do arithmetic, read orders, write instructions and complete forms
  • Ability to work closely & cordially with other staff associates
Physical Demands

Must be able to stand and walk for much of the day. Ability to lift 5-25 pounds frequently and ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment

Other conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware. Worker is subject to frequent heavy lifting.
