Key Responsibilities:
• Nutrition Screening & Care: Assess patients' and clients' nutritional needs by reviewing medical records, conducting interviews, and collaborating with healthcare staff. Create and document individualized nutrition care plans.
• Collaborative Program Development: Partner with Beacon Health & Fitness and Beacon Sports Medicine teams to develop nutrition plans for members, guests, and referred patients.
• Education & Outreach: Conduct individual and group training sessions, integrate nutrition programs into fitness offerings, and contribute to marketing by sharing success stories and educational content.
• Organizational Responsibilities: Attend department meetings, complete required education, and maintain relevant certifications.

Education & Experience:
• Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or a related field approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registry (CDR).
  • CPR/AED certification within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred:
  • Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN), as required by state or federal regulations.
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in a similar role.

• Strong knowledge of nutrition and physiology, along with familiarity with department policies and procedures.
• Excellent analytical skills to assess patient conditions and develop tailored nutrition plans.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills to counsel patients and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
• Ability to educate and engage individuals and groups on nutrition-related topics.

Working Conditions:
• Environment: Primarily based at Beacon Health & Fitness Center, with occasional clinical work at Beacon Sports Medicine as needed.
• Flexibility: Hours are flexible and aligned with fitness center operations and client/physician referral needs.
