Job Description Summary:

The Specialty Pharmacy LPN Supervisor will report to the Specialty Pharmacy Nurse Manager. The Specialty Pharmacy LPN Supervisor is responsible for supervising and assisting the LPN and REMS teams (including the REMS Coordinator and REMS Technicians) and ensuring prompt communication of workflow and personnel deficiencies and needs to the Specialty Pharmacy Nurse Manager. The Specialty Pharmacy LPN Supervisor will be proficient in all the LPN and REMS workflows (including LPN and REMS Coordinator and REMS Technician duties) and provide support as needed. The Specialty Pharmacy LPN Supervisor will assist the Specialty Pharmacy Nurse Manager with:

  • Day-to-day management of LPN and REMS teams (including REMS Coordinator and REMS Technician), staff schedules, annual evaluations, counseling, interviewing candidates and onboarding, approval of timecards, and discipline of employees.
  • Continued educational development of LPN and REMS staff members (including REMS Coordinator and REMS Technicians) for all workflows, including the presentation of materials during staff meetings, team meetings, or as directed.
  • Coordination and documentation of orientation and compliance requirements for new employees and will participate as needed in the orientation process.
  • Any team projects, SOP development and revisions, and form updates.
  • Monitoring of LPN and REMS workflow emails and the resolution of patient or provider complaints and workflow or safety concerns.
  • Will cross train and support the LPN and REMS Teams (including LPN and REMS Coordinator and REMS Technician duties) workflows as needed.
The Specialty Pharmacy LPN Supervisor demonstrates working knowledge of all facets of role, relevant regulations, and organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Performs other duties and projects as assigned. Performs all duties in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies and procedures.

Position Qualifications/Requirements:

RESIDENCY IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA IS REQUIRED.

Education:
  • High School degree required
  • Graduate of accredited school for Practical Nursing-LPN
Certifications/Licenses:
  • Active/Good standing Florida LPN license or compact licensure that permits practice in the state of Florida.
  • Valid state Driver's License for travel to satellite offices and offsite meetings. Compliance with the company Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy is required.
Previous Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in clinic or hospital is required
  • Experience in Hematology/Oncology preferred
  • Management or supervisory experience preferred

Travel: 25%

Standard Core Workdays/Hours: The Nurse team will be staffed Monday to Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with specific shifts of 8:00am - 4:30pm, 8:30am - 5:00pm, or 7:30am-4:00pm as assigned by the Specialty Pharmacy Nurse Manager. Extended weekday hours and Saturday hours may be required as necessary to complete assigned tasks.
