This assignment will float to the new Phoenix ChildrensEmergency Department-Avondale, 19007 North 67th Avenue, Glendale, AZ 85308, orientation & training will be at the Main Campus 1919 E. Thomas Road, Phoenix AZ.

Job Summary:

This position facilitates andadministers respiratory care, including routine and complex procedures, using awide variety of techniques and equipment. Ensures care meets quality standardsestablished by the hospital, department and regulatory agencies and maintainsall skills and knowledge sufficient to provide safe, effective, anddevelopmentally appropriate care to all ages of patients from neonate toadolescent. This position also participates in executing quality improvementinitiatives.

Education Requirements:

  • Successful completion of anaccredited Respiratory Therapist Program.
Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of one (1) year Level 3 NICU and/or PICU
Certification/License/Registry Requirements:
  • Current BLS certification forHealthcare Provider from the American Heart Association.
  • Current Registered RespiratoryTherapist (RRT) from the NBRC
  • Current, Active, Permanent State of ArizonaRespiratory Care Practitioner license.
  • American Association forRespiratory Care (AARC) membership preferred.
  • NRP preferred.
  • Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association.
