Urology Ultrasound Technician - Full Time - Day Shift *This position spends 3 days per week in North Adams and 2 days in Pittsfield About Us: With its scenic natural beauty, the Berkshires serves as a source of inspiration for many and fosters a unique and vibrant community. Responsibilities and Requirements Primary Function -Perform a wide variety of Ultrasound examinations including OR cases in a high volume/procedural physician office -Requires initiative to obtain required radiographs to facilitate diagnosis -Proper care of the patient in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required -May be assigned independent responsibilities by the direct supervisor or additional supervisor -Must be able to work independently to obtain images -Must have working knowledge of PACs and hospital information systems -May be required to work outside of scheduled office hours to accommodate OR cases. Position Qualifications Experience -Minimum of 3 years experience as Ultrasonographer preferred -Must obtain registry from ARDMS or ARRT within 2 years of employment Education and Training -Must have completed approved Diagnostic Sonography Technology Program. -Additional registration and state license as a diagnostic technologist preferred License, Certification & Registration -MALIC - Mass Radiography License. -ARRT(S)/ARDMS - Registered Sonographer through ARRT or ARDMS within 2 years of employment. -CPR - CPR is required.
