Job Description

Provide direct patient care in accordance with Global Medical Response protocols and/or medical direction.

Scheduling and Locale
  • Available to work a two week on / two week off rotation. The two weeks on includes traveling with the plane for transports and repositioning.
  • Due to the nature of the business model, crew members can live anywhere in the United States.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Use a systematic, critical-thinking approach to guide patient assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
  • Maintain clinical competence and continuing education for age specific populations in which care is provided.
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate with various health care members.
  • Attend and participate in base meetings and educational offerings according to established guidelines.
  • Execute assigned tasks in an efficient manner and perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comply with safety standards to assure safety of self, medical and flight personnel, patient, and equipment.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Bachelor of Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of three years recent experience in the critical care setting. Five years preferred.
  • Valid nursing license from state of primary practice. Compact license preferred.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Current passport.
  • Current American Heart Association certifications - BLS, ACLS, PALS
  • Current Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Provider - or should be obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • Transport Provider Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC) preferred - or should be obtained within 1 year of hire date.
  • Advanced Certification (CFRN or CTRN) preferred - or should be obtained within 2 years of hire date.
