CDL A or B Driver Wilkes Barre, PA · Transportation/Logistics Apply Now JOB TITLE: CDL Driver JOB TYPE Full Time JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform daily routes depending on the weekly schedule determined by manager. Operate a CDL trailer to deliver commercial tires/wheels as well as other items to customers. Must maintain a safe and clean driving record. Responsible for executing client delivery schedules, proper loading and unloading, and obtaining signed paperwork to provide to Snider branches, etc. Responsible for the cleanliness, maintenance, and equipment inventory levels on tractor-trailer and on person. Maintain an ELD (Electronic Logging Device) detailing the hours traveled, rest periods, miles/distance covered, verifying logs weekly, and reporting any errors to the Branch Manager for correction, as well as fuel, repair, toll, and/or other expenses. Effectively communicate any traffic violations, accidents, breakdowns, or delays in route to management and customers. Conduct pre and post trip inspections, to ensure that all mechanical systems are operating properly. Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the changes are correct. Maintain safe procedures while operating a company vehicle. Must follow and comply with all DOT regulations. Assist in loading and unloading the product on the trucks. Ensures deliveries are timely. Adheres to McCarthy Tire Service policies and standards. Must have excellent driving aptitude for both manual and automatic vehicles. Learn and maintain all PM’s and ensure daily performance check on vehicle. Always home daily. OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties can and will arise, and the candidate should be prepared to take on these challenges openly. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE High School degree or GED. REQUIREMENTS At least 1 year of delivery driving experience within the last 3 years. Class A or B license, depending on class of vehicle. Valid driver’s license. Must have clean MVR, Drug Test, and pass the DOT physical. Flexibility in schedule. Minimum 18 years of age. Lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
