Vale Group has partnered with a company in the finance industry, based in Irving, TX, who is actively searching for an experienced Controller to work onsite for an opportunity paying competitively, 125-135k. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, overseeing financial transactions, compliance, and analysis to support strategic decision-making. The Controller will collaborate with senior management to drive financial performance and achieve business objectives.

Requirements of the Controller:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting
• Experience with financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of integrity and ethical standards
Responsibilities of the Controller:
• Oversee the accurate recording of financial transactions in the general ledger
• Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Generate financial reports for internal management and external stakeholders
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management
• Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial close tasks
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Establish and maintain effective internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy
• Identify and mitigate financial risks
• Implement and monitor policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Supervise, mentor, and develop the finance team
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
• Provide training and support to ensure the team's success
• Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that align with company goals
• Provide financial modeling and analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions
• Participate in long-term planning and capital expenditure decisions
• Ensure data integrity within financial systems
• Identify opportunities to leverage technology for process improvements and efficiency gains
