Job Description

IMMI in Westfield, Indiana is seeking Production Assemblers to support our manufacturing operations on the weekends. This is a part-time position with the potential to earn $16.00 per hour with an attendance bonus of $100 for each weekend you achieve perfect attendance.

IMMI's safety products are found worldwide on car seats, heavy trucks, school buses, recreational/off road, military, fire/EMS, motor coach, and construction vehicles. Privately owned, headquartered in Westfield, Indiana and operating eight additional global facilities, IMMI is also home to IMMI VIP steering wheels and CAPE®, the world's leading state-of-the-art testing facility.

HOURS: Friday 6:30am - 5:00pm and Saturday 7:00am - 3:00pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assemble seat belts, seats, and/or buckles to specifications.
  • Read, comprehend, and execute tasks based on Process Control Instructions, Bill of Material, Product Description Sheets, and Visual work Instructions.
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
  • Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Assist other workstations as needed.
  • Clean and maintain work area.
  • Perform daily audit requirements for safety, quality, 5S, and standard work.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be at least 17 years old.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written and oral instructions.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to consistently produce quality work.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Excellent hand/eye coordination.
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to stand up for at least 10 hours a day.
  • Must be flexible to work in various stations.
  • Must be able to work overtime if needed.
  • Must stay focused in fast-paced work environment
WORK ENVIRONMENT DEMANDS:
  • This work is deadline-oriented, requires multitasking, fluctuating work schedule, and flexibility within the workday
  • Requires the ability for close vision, distance vision and depth perception
  • Requires working and interacting with others, both in person and through phone, electronic, and written correspondence, and the ability to listen effectively, communicate clearly, maintain attention to detail, and perform focused work
  • The following motions can be required during the day: Standing for extended periods of time, stepping up & down, balancing, bending (hip & knees), reaching, standing, walking, pulling, pushing, lifting (from floor to waist, waist to chest, chest to head), observing, hearing, grasping, pressing, and other repetitive actions
  • Requires continuous motion throughout the day, utilization of tools, equipment, and industrial vehicles, the ability to life 25lbs, and perform physically demanding tasks as deemed necessary
  • This work requires the proper attire and use of PPE which can include eyewear, steel toed protection, hard hat, gloves, earbuds, and other PPE as deemed necessary
  • May work with and/or around potentially dangerous equipment
  • This position requires working with various temperature conditions
