POSITION SUMMARY:

Seeking a motivated Physical Therapist to provide evaluations and treatments for inpatients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to improve patients' function. This position may require coverage at multiple sites.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (minimum of B.S.)
  • Current Connecticut license in Physical Therapy

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate patients based on departmental standards
  • Develop individualized treatment goals based on patient symptoms and medical status
  • Administer appropriate therapeutic exercises and physical agents
  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs
  • Document patient care in accordance with guidelines
  • Supervise affiliated students and attend continuing education courses
