Key Responsibilities:

This position plays an important role in creating and maintaining the strategic partnership between business needs and technology delivery. This person will be the technical lead and mentor to them for planning, design, development and launching of efficient systems and solutions in support of core organizational functions. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues, opportunities or problems in order to maximize the benefit of IT and Business investments. This individual should be experienced and self - sufficient in performing their responsibilities and be able to supervise a team of developers.

l Responsible for software development during the design/build phases of the SDLC

l Perform as technical lead on development projects.

l Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of development methodologies, software design and design patterns, integration standards as well as its applicability at coding and testing cycles.

l Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements.

l Responsible for making sure in-progress builds follow the approved designs.

l Perform coding and proper unit testing (including test class creations) for in progress changes and participate in peer review using Java.

l Work with onshore team and Business

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

l Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems

l 5+ years of experience in design, development, documenting, testing, and debugging of new and existing software systems and/or applications for market sale or large-scale proprietary software for internal use.

l Proven experience as a Java Developer

l Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles (OOP)

l Experience with Java frameworks (e.g., Spring, Spring Boot) (a plus)

l Experience with common build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle) (a plus)

l Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit)

l Experience with Build Automation tools like MS build, Team City, Harness, Jenkins11.

l Experience with the Couchbase NoSQL DB Data Platform, Amazon DocumentDB highly desirable

l AWS experience – Document DB, ECS, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch, PostgreSQL, MSK are highly desirable.

l Kafka Experience is highly desirable.

l Understanding of Rest API concepts like Content-Negotiation, Routing, Formatters, Validations, Logging, Caching, Action Filters, Versioning

l Experience in building Reusable Components

l Knowledge in design principles and Design patterns like Strategy, Decorator, Adapter, SOLID, Repository, OOPS etc.

l Strong object-oriented design skills and the ability to analyze requirements and transform into scalable software designs using patterns and standard processes.

l Experience working as Technical Lead and have good architectural skills.

l Technologies, and RESTful web services, Microservices, Messaging Architectures and RDBMS

l Proficiency with Git, GitHub, etc.

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

l Airlines industry experience

l Experience on DevOps such as setting up CI/CD pipelines is preferred.

l Experience with TeamCity and/or Harness is preferred.

The base pay range for this role is $109,820.00 to $149,600.00.

The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
