The successful candidate will perform admissions and discharges, histories, physical exams, ongoing patient assessments and management, daily rounding, and ICU procedures (arterial lines, central lines, lumbar punctures, and intubation). One year of critical care experience is required.
ECU Health Medical Center is a Joint Commission-certified Comprehensive Stroke Center.
Highlights include:
• Employment by ECU Health Physicians
• Hospital privileges at ECU Health Medical Center, a level 1 trauma center
• 24 bed NSICU
• Supervising physician is an experienced neurointensivist
• Ability to perform ICU procedures
• Inpatient responsibilities only
• 7 on / 7 off, 12 hour shift schedule

ECU Health's Neuroscience program uses a multidisciplinary approach to provide a range of services to include diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with neurological disorders. The hospital has excellent staff in nursing, radiology, general neurosurgery, endovascular neurosurgery and intervention, neuro-spine surgery, and neurology. The Neuroscience team takes great pride in their patient- and family-centered approach to care, which promotes optimization of patient outcomes.
