Job Summary:
We are conducting a search for a highly experienced and dynamic Director of Patient Access & Strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare operations, patient access, and strategy development. They will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of patient access, including registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and financial counseling. Additionally, the Director of Patient Access & Strategy will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategies to improve patient access and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement patient access policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Oversee all aspects of patient access, including registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and financial counseling.
- Monitor and analyze patient access metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Develop and maintain relationships with insurance companies and other third-party payers to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in patient access and make recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and retention.
- Train and mentor staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional patient access services.
- Collaborate with other leaders to develop and implement organization-wide strategies and initiatives.
- Monitor and manage department budget to ensure financial goals are met.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in healthcare operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of patient access operations and best practices.
- Experience in developing and implementing strategies to improve patient access and satisfaction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience managing budgets and financial goals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance.
