Required skills for this job include:
  • Build and maintain software applications for our customers
    • Ability to program in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript), including web, mobile, and enterprise applications
    • Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release, support), and seek to constantly make improvements and increased efficiencies
    • Oversee the performance of applications to ensure they run properly
    • Find and implement solutions to security threats, such as viruses, errors, and exploits
  • Full stack development experience
  • Experience with Git-based source control and pull requests for feature-based development
  • Experience with cloud-based computing (e.g., AWS, Azure)
  • 2+ years of Python experience
  • 2+ years of application design/implementation concepts, components, and workflows in React, Angular, or similar web application platforms
    • Understanding of REST APIs
    • Understanding of responsive design
    • Understanding of scalable design
    • Solid understanding of security
  • Experience with Docker and container orchestration frameworks (e.g., Kubernetes)
  • Sharp critical and analytical thinking skills and keen attention to detail
  • Collaborate with teammates to ensure applications align with the organization's goals, as well as customer needs
  • Remain current on technology trends to keep our software as innovative as possible
  • Work with product team to plan new features, gather requirements, and propose solutions
  • Establish and adhere to standards and best practices
    • Work to continuously improve software delivery processes and practices
    • Promote adoption of web applications standards
  • Help foster a culture of innovation and out-of-the-box thinking
  • 8+ years of professional experience
  • Minimum education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or comparable academic discipline
  • Must have or be willing to obtain Secret Clearance (this requires US Citizenship)
  • Acceptable candidates must successfully pass a drug test and background screen
Desired skills for this position:
  • Certification in application development
  • A solid understanding and appreciation for Agile tools, processes, and methodology
  • Experience with persistence and data storage technologies
    • Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS)
    • No-SQL and non-relational databases
    • Wider variety of experience is a plus
  • 2+ years of Java experience
  • 2+ years of .NET experience
  • Ability to interact well in a team environment and experience working as part of a development team
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly within the constraints of timelines and budgets
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Proficiency with project tracking software (e.g., Jira)
  • Ability to work with new technologies while demonstrating drive, adaptability, and creative thinking
  • Strong communication skills
  • Project management experience
