With two thriving practice locations and over 50 employees, patients can expect to have all of their eye care needs met through expert care and top-quality optical products. The business plans to expand the Lincoln City practice and add a regional optometry practice-this is where we need your support and expertise.

What you'll do:

You'll care for patients in a tech-forward, modern clinic and provide comprehensive optometry to patients of all ages and with visual and medical conditions. As an Optometrist at Lincoln City Eye Clinic, you'll be expected to:

  • Perform thorough routine eye exams and pre-and-post operative eye exams
  • Identify visual alertness, field of vision, and hand-eye coordination
  • Diagnose sight problems, such as nearsightedness and color blindness
  • Identify and assess eye defects and diseases such as diabetes or liver failure
  • Maintain accurate patient medical files using NextGen
  • Promote good eye health through patient education
  • Record all diagnosis and treatment plans, including transfers and therapeutic prescriptions
The position is part-time, 16 to 24 hours weekly; the practice will consider full-time for the right candidate.

Lincoln City Eye Clinic is searching for a highly skilled team player with solid diagnostics, pathology, and clinical skills who can provide quality patient care and excellent customer service through all interactions. To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, responsible, service-oriented, community-involved, and willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Optometry license in the state of Oregon
  • Doctor of optometry degree
  • Prefer at least two years of experience as an Optometrist. New graduates considered.
  • In-depth knowledge of eye-related disorders and conditions
