About the Job:
- The RN Clinical Coordinator – assists and supports the Nurse Manager in the development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of delivery of nursing care services within the PCU unit to ensure quality nursing.
- Provides clinical leadership for patient care activities; prepares and facilitates staff schedule; directs professional and non-professional nursing personnel; participates in team member development and evaluation; implements and leads process improvement activities with the unit; represents Nurse Manager as appropriate; provides direct patient care and attends meetings, as required.
- Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an assigned unit or clinic section within a hospital. Schedules employee shifts and ensures admitting and discharge functions are providing for optimal patient flow.
- Ensures that hospital resources are being used in the most efficient manner. Assigns patients to appropriate health practitioners. May perform other administrative functions as necessary.
- FL RN (Registered Nurse) license
- Previous clinical experience preferred of at least three years in acute care setting preferred. Previous leadership experience preferred. Able to work under stressful conditions. Good oral and written skills.
- Must be able to communicate to patients, hospital staff, and visitors in a concerned and caring way, demonstrating the Standards of Excellence. Able to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Demonstrates excellent clinical, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Exhibits ability to set priorities, adjust and implement change, work independently, perform effectively in crisis situations, and serve as a resource.
- Maintains yearly age specific and job specific competencies.
- At least 3 years experience required in the field or related area. Bachelors Degree of Nursing required.
